Very few sports elicit such a need for stamina, strength and the strategic understanding of countless moves and counter moves as the sport of wrestling which is why it is one of the most respected on campus.
It might not be the largest sport in the department but those who participate are clearly some of the most dedicated and passionate. Under new leadership this season, Head Coach Luke Denney took over a young group in 2025-26, looking to continue the strong tradition from former head and now current assistant Coach Rich Wikiera.Â
The Hawklets finished 12th out of 16 teams in the 2026 District Tournament, led by Chase Quinn ’27 who earned a second straight State Meet qualification.
With both varsity and JV teams working to fill out weight divisions from the featherweight of 106 and 113 lbs. all the way to the heavyweights of 285 lbs. there is a weight class for everyone.Â
