Hockey was added as Rockhurst’s newest athletics department-sponsored sport ahead of the 2025-26 season. Previously a club sport, the team competes in the Mid America High School Hockey League (MAHSHL), facing local opponents as well as teams from Wichita, Springfield, Jefferson City, and other areas as the sport continues to grow in the region. Rockhurst has been a central part of that growth.
A new face on the bench will be leading the way, as Rockhurst announced Coach Jared Manzella as its new head coach in May 2025.
The program fields both Varsity and JV teams, with the season running from late October through early spring.
